Why choose Memory Foam?
Memory Foam mattresses and memory foam toppers are great at contouring and adjusting to the unique body shape of each sleeper. The temperature and pressure sensitive foam adapts and conforms to each person automatically, and provides great back and spinal support. When you change sleeping positions, the foam will automatically adjust and re-contour to your new sleeping position. Another great benefit of memory foam is the reduced motion transfer. Many couples find that they are easily awakened at night when their partner rolls over, or gets up out of bed to go to the bathroom, or get a drink of water. Most people find they can’t feel their partner move or get into or out of bed at night on a memory foam mattress. Some memory foam mattresses are mostly polyurethane base foam with only an inch or two of memory foam which typically don’t last as long, and are not usually as comfortable as a model that has at least 30% memory foam. The density of the foam is important for durability. The higher the density the longer the foam will last and it will stay more consistent of a feel. A 2 pound density is about the lowest, and a 5 pound density is about the highest. When you compare, make sure to compare the thickness of the mattress, the layers of foam, and the density to get a more accurate apples to apples comparison.
